Billboard Top Chinese Songs 2024-China TME UNI Chart- October 2024

 While looking through the Chinese Charts, I came across this on Billboard. According to Billboard, TME UNI Chart, provided by Tencent Music Entertainment Group, ranks the top songs within China based on streaming and sales activity from seven major platforms (QQ Music, Kugou Music, Kuwo Music, WeSing, Weibo Music, Tencent Video) as well as national radio stations.

Looking at the songs on this month's chart, there are a few songs that I personally haven't heard. How interesting! Let me note down the top 5 songs on the Billboard Chinese Chart. Some of the songs I have provided the lyrics before and some are new songs which lyrics will be provided in future blog post.

Recently,  Yang Zongwei, Gem and Leto Wang sang "If the Moon Didn't Come" on a music variety show, the song's popularity was pushed to its peak.

Qiu Fengze released the 10th anniversary album "COlOR Free". The album's title song is "Imprint/ Fold Creases" ."Imprint/ Fold Creases" tells how a relationship is like a scar that will never recover. Even if the other person has left, the emotion has been imprinted in the heart and will not be erased. Qiu Fengze shared: "If I want to explain the song simply, I think it coexists with pain. I use "the traces left by folding the paper" as a metaphor for the feelings that cannot be erased in life. Who is Leah Dou?  Leah Dou is a Hong Kong singer-songwriter. She is the daughter of Hong Kong music queen Faye Wong and mainland Chinese rock musician Dou Wei. I always loved Khalil Fong's songs, it's very soothing and also a reflection of life. Finally, Khalil Fong released his new song "Just 23 or Just only 23"  "才二十三" after 2 years of hiatus from the music scene.

I was curious to find out which Chinese songs are popular and topped charts in non-Asian countries this week in 2024 and how they compare to those in Asian countries. First on my list is United States. 

However, finding a Chinese music chart for the USA proved challenging. Many Chinese radio stations offered in-house programs with news and local updates but did not provide a weekly chart of the top Chinese songs. After extensive searching, I finally managed to find one! Please do note that all songs are cantonese songs. If you do know of any mandarin chinese music charts 2024 for USA, do comment below!

Star Tidbit: Who is Jud Chen Yong Xi  JUD 陳泳希?

Jud Chen Yong Xi graduated from Tainan University of Arts. She majored in classical piano, but while she was in college, she was selected as a trainee by Huayan. She learned and studied music under her seniors and developed skills in singing, composing, arranging and mixing along the way. Meaning of song: Li Rong Hao -Zou Zou (Wander) :

Li Ronghao officially released the 6th single of his eighth album "walk" on July 18. This MV is a collaboration with director Huang Zhongping. This song  tells about the relief and regrets in the relationship. Even if we have come to terms with our wasted feelings, and we dont seek accountability for the path that we "wander"-ed, we gradually learn how to give in, and from conversations with oneself understand the deeper meaning of love.
